Marbled“
End Papers
Endpapers, traditionally placed on the inside covers of leather-bound books, served the purpose of safeguarding the valuable text from wear and tear at the beginning and end of a book. The use of marbled papers for this protective function likely originated in 16th-century Persia, later spreading to Turkey and across Europe. Over time, each country developed its distinct and favored techniques for achieving marble effects on these endpapers. Drawing inspiration from a traditional Italian marbling style, we crafted a flawless repeat pattern. The outcome is a striking design that, despite its ancient roots, exudes a bold and modern aesthetic. Material: Heavy Rag paper
Marble Arch
Marble Arch represents another end paper marble technique, which we transformed into a nuanced repeat pattern. When incorporated into a room, it assumes the guise of an overall texture, subtly concealing the intricate and complex design. Printed in four subdued colors, this design embodies a pleasing and sophisticated perspective, adding a touch of refinement to any space. Material: Heavy Rag paper
Time Shift
Time Shift features an undulating marble effect with a mesmerizing quality. Printed on mica-coated paper, the design has a subtle sheen, further enhanced by subtle printed notes of metallic gold or silver. The tone-on-tone colors keep this busy design subtle and refined. Material: Mica coated paper
