Fermoie is delighted to present two collections – one entirely new, the other a familiar, immensely popular design carefully revisited – for Spring 2025. Like all Fermoie fabrics, both feature beautiful, fully hand-drawn patterns and are produced entirely in-house on specially woven basecloth.

WHITTLE
When in ancient times a wood carver repeatedly chipped the surface, he was said to be ‘whittling’. It’s these unusual ‘evenly uneven’ shapes that give our new Whittle fabric collection its name. Whittle’s irregular stripes and unstudied geometric shapes recall the subtle, intricate interplay of angles, planes, and notches in hand-carved wood, appearing to ripple over the surface of the fabric as the light falls upon it. Like every Fermoie design, the entire repeat is drawn by hand, with the original broken lines of pencil on paper still evident in the finished pattern.
The design makes full use of the 100% linen base cloth to add depth and texture to the 16 colorways, which include two-color and color-plus-tone combinations.

WHITTLE LAMPSHADES
For the first time, Fermoie presents Round and Oval Lampshades alongside a new fabric collection. The team instinctively felt that Whittle’s painterly design with its flowing stripes would work beautifully when softly illuminated from within. Like all Fermoie Lampshades, the new Whittle shades are entirely handmade in-house in our own accessories workshop, using 100% linen sheer fabric. Available in 16 sizes from 4.5 to 24 inches, they’re offered in five colorways.

CARSKIEY STRIPE
The Carskiey Stripe collection, inspired by a treasured heritage textile from Carskiey House in Scotland, has always been a great favorite with customers worldwide, bringing the lasting appeal of English stripes into the home. For Spring 2025, they’ve given the two most popular Carskiey patterns their own discrete identities and positions within the wider Fermoie design family, and added new colorways.

CARSKIEY BROAD STRIPE
A bold pattern of irregularly spaced hand-drawn stripes, Carskiey Broad Stripe beautifully interlaces line, color, light, and shade, with the 100% linen base cloth adding depth and a soft woven texture. For Spring 2025, they’ve added four new colorways, taking the total to 20.

CARSKIEY SINGLE STRIPE
Carskiey Single Stripe is one of the best-loved Fermoie designs. For Spring 2025, Fermoie added 10 new colorways, offering a total of 15 choices. Some are linked to Carskiey Broad Stripe, making it easy to combine the two designs in a single scheme. They’ve also added some joyful, uplifting colors that complement the simple, single-stripe design perfectly.
