This is my first collection, and I am so proud C&C invested in me. Atelier collection comes from the immediate sensations that images, colors, memories, elements of nature, moments suddenly captured and immediately represented through the technique of watercolor. Shadows, natural lists, geometries, strokes … patterns and colors that brightly blend to generate a whole where the dialogue is fluid and synergistic. – Elena Borghi
C&C Milano & Elena Borghi take you on a journey to discover the secrets of the artist’s atelier. The Atelier Collection, created in watercolor, captures a delicate style offset in bright hues. The resulting patterns have a hand applied effect that is perfectly expressed by this painting technique.
By printing on varying weights of linen fabrics; light sheers, decorative cushions, sophisticated wallpapers and wallcoverings, C&C Milano translated these designs into a total look for the home. The inspiration behind Elena’s artistry are geometric motifs. Natural elements are translated into quick and nuanced brushstrokes. Still life compositions with strong, harmonious but vital and sensual colours; a nod to the painter Vanessa Bell.
The collaboration with C&C Milano resulted in four patterns interpreted in as many color options: terracotta, green, petroleum and anthracite.
