Susan Deliss is a textiles designer, dealer and interior decorator based in Notting Hill in London. Susan works directly with the weavers, printers and embroiderers who make her textiles, paying great attention to detail. Each design can take months to perfect, with the result being Susan’s unique, distinctive and beautiful collection.

Most of Susan’s weaves and prints are made in England by businesses in which generations of the same families are involved. Susan believes strongly in supporting high quality craftsmanship, where traditional skills are honored and preserved. Susan’s fabrics, trims and interiors have an international following.

Favorite Travel Destination:

Difficult choice. Istanbul. Or maybe Venice, where I lived for a while as a teenager.

Favorite Pastime Activity:

Traveling and looking for textiles and ceramics

Do you have a favorite textile pattern that always graces your home?:

I have so many patterns at home! I often use paisley somewhere and love a stripe

Pets?:

My lurcher (collie/saluki/greyhound mix) is 5 months old and is called Ottoline or Otty for short. She is very fast and will do anything for a treat.

What do you love most about Textiles?:

Textiles universality. Every one of us has contact with some sort of textile every day – either clothing or in their home or both. Textiles reflect so many aspects of people’s lives and old and antique textiles carry forward some of those aspects to future generations so are a memory of the past.
